Who needs movies when the action and the thrill can be had from a book such as this?! Even if movies are as handy as books nowadays, I’d still choose the book.
It’s been a while since I last read a Paul Levine book, and this stand alone again proves his talent; it was as enjoyable as his hit series. The story behind this novel already got my full attention- a DC-10 aircraft crash. I worked in an airline when these models were still popular. Adding the author’s expertise in the legal thriller genre completed the makeup of this book for me.
Just one thing I found a bit unbelievable was the airboat chase scene. Though the protagonist SC justice Sam Truitt was supposed to have the experience, given that many years have passed, it was just hard to believe that such daring maneuvers would be second nature to him.
Overall, still an enjoyable read, reminding everyone to be wary of whom we put our trust in. Reply
